Hi, I'm Gabrielle. This is my first year, and second semester in graphic design at Park Tudor School. Last semester was my first time working with Adobe Illustator and Adobe Indesign. Now I use Illustrator every day, I can't turn the program off. This year we worked on a variety of projects. Last semester, we learned how to use Adobe Illustrator and worked on both creating our own images, and redesigning others. We learned about fonts, lettering, typography, color schemes, images, masking and more. At the end of the class we created portfolios, and learned how to upload our images for a website. This semester, we used our skills from the last class to work on bigger projects. I've always been fascinated with the thought that almost everything we look at is made by graphic designers. Book covers, newspapers, magazines, signs, posters, bilboards, icons, logos, album covers, they're all created by graphic designers. Now I have creaded my own and I love it! I can absolutely see myself being a graphic designer in the future. I had a wonderful time in graphic design both this semester, and last. I loved the class so much, I purchased my own version of Adobe Illistrator so I can continue to design forever. I can't wait for my independent study in Graphic Design next year!
